“In my 35 years of life I have never worked out consistently beyond 2-3 weeks. My sedentary lifestyle caused me back issues, sciatic pain and fatigue. I refused to believe that exercise would give me energy because even a 30 minute walk would exhaust me. I could barely walk up stairs without getting tired and my posture was so bad. Last September I had a baby and felt sooo exhausted and overweight for months afterwards. I tried to eat “healthy “ and basically went to bed hungry every day to try lose weight. I just couldn’t continue with my lifestyle any longer so I began looking into gyms and remembered multiple friends that saw results at Thrive Active. I wasn’t sure if I could do it, but I figured I have nothing to lose by trying. At the beginning of this challenge, I could barely do one push-up from my knees, I tried desperately to hide my tears of embarrassment at the Act-lete testing, and one the other challengers noticed me crying and told me once you are done the challenge you will only be better — she was right!! Every day now I wake up with energy and no longer need daily naps. My husband comments about how much happier I am! I plan on continuing with this lifestyle and show my daughter the importance of healthy living and role model that she can do hard things too. It’s hard not to feel a slightest bit of regret for not coming to Thrive and changing my life many years earlier, but I am proud of how far I’ve come and all the new skills I’ve learned. In the challenge I lost 15 lbs and saw a 900% improvement on push-ups!! To new Thrivers, the challenge is so so so worth it, your life will change.”
